Hello, and welcome to melissa's midwifery! I'm Melissa, the face behind the name!
I am currently in my second year of studying midwifery at the University of Salford, and so I am currently right in the middle of my three year degree. And yes, it definitely sounds scary to say that next year (2020), I will be qualifying!
I originally started melissa's midwifery as a personal blog that I updated every week, where I could write about my experiences as a student midwife in a safe and protected space. Over time, this has developed into a website where I reach out to aspiring and current student midwives who can interact with me, ask questions and also read my top tips for studying midwifery.
Of course, I'm still continuing with my blog! I will slowly but surely be transferring old blog posts onto here, so keep your eyes peeled for those. I will also be updating with new posts.
melissa's midwifery is my own little passion project, and I hope that you enjoy browsing on here - whether you're a current student of midwifery, an applicant or whether you're just generally interested in what it's like to be a student midwife, I hope that you find everything that you're looking for on here.
